Went out to Birmingham last with a few of the lads in my motor, now i live about 10 miles from there, so i drove up, had quite an interesting drive up throught the streets with me having a race with a Scooby and a CTR, all good fun and not overly dangerous, just the usual traffic light grand prix.

Anyway as i was leaving i spotted, a nice looking ST220, who looked like he wanted to play as I got closer to him, anyway as soon as i spotted a bit of dual carriageway , I went to go past him, just as i was about to go past him and really put pedal to metal, my mate spotted the dude was a copper, thankfully id not gone past 50mph at this point, anyway he followed me for a bit then pulled me over, he did a quick check and couldnt find me on the insurance database (its a company car soit wouldnt be on there) so after a quick ID check i was on my way.

I was so lucky tho cos i was really ready to open the car up,if my mate hadnt have spotted him, i would be in so much serious trouble right now.

So there you, dont get too carried away chaps, not everybody who wants to play is what they seem.

On the plus side i did find a drive tho kebab shop on the way back :p

Is this thread a joke?

You were doing Traffic Light GP through Birmingham City centre on New Years Eve?
That's one of the the stupidest thing you could do.

Also, what car do you have?

No i was quite civilised through brum, but the roads leading up to brum from me are some nice dual carriageways. It was incredibily stupid but ooh so much fun.City centre speeding is stupid even for me.

I drive a ST3.

At the risk of sounding like Fox ;) ......

So, this whole thread is about you having nothing better to do on New Year's Eve than breaking the speed limit on dual carriageways and on leaving (I'm assuming you were out of the city centre) you failed (somehow) to spot an unmarked car until you had virtually passed him so thought you would warn everyone that there are unmarked cars on the road looking for people who are breaking the law?

Or am I missing the point?

He was driving a proper st, not some 3door pansy car :p (guessing its a 3door (A))

Actually ouit of interest how quick are the mondeo ST's, my old ST-24 was 7.8secs to 60, but that was only a 2.5, whereas the new one is a 3.0l is it not?

lol as standard they are both crap :p
get lost just cos you have a jap rocket, there is nothing wrong with ford cars built in germany with parts from almost every other european country :p

0-60 is 6.8 standard. Mines running 263bhp at the moment (according to the dyno run around june) So dunno what that would be.

lol as you say, yours is running xxx bhp i.e. not standard

I've driven one a number of times as standard and wasn't impressed, but once they had it chipped to it was actually pretty damn good.

its strangled, really really badly as standard. Just putting on free'er flowing air filter makes a huge difference.

Mine is running 256 as std according to the rollers a few weeks back, i dont think my car is particularly quick tbh, its too heavy, but in gear acelleration is fantastic, quicker than a R32 in gear apparently.
