Oor errr, 90 GPUs outperforming 8k macs by 2 GFlops

Those are some amazing stats actually. The windows sytems are averaging 0.949 GFlops each, the GPUs are averaging 70.5 GFlops each. Absolutely amazing.

Or, each Windows core is producing 0.00000562% of the total flopage, each GPU core 0.000417% of the flopage.

Corrr thats a lot of flopage, and 70/80% of them are running 2D, so you can add about 40% again to performance at 3D

What is all this about 2D and 3D speeds? I don't have any PCI-Expres cards yet as none of my PC's can use them so I don't know what that is all about.

All modern cards have 2D speexds for when not in a 3D app.

The X1k series are the first to have this.

The client under driver control does not ramp up the clock speeds, so we have to manually force it.

The points for gpus are still rubbish aren't they?

Nice that they are so good for the science tho.

Im at 550PPD, its using one core which might otherwise be 200, or 1k, but its mostly 200PPD so im actually doing better out of it than I would have done.

This is on a C2D btw...
