Open Cases like test benches vs Enclosed cases

If you have any questions about the dimastech test bench jay85 please feel free to ask. I love mine. It is used as a test bench now, rather than my main rig previously.

Hi thanks for replying hero!

If you don't mind me asking, how did you find the dimastech as a main rig case rather than a test bench?

Was it difficult to maintain like some have said?

Also what's the headroom like for watercooling and fitting 240 rads?

Thanks

As a main rig it was fine. Obviously a larger footprint than a standard case, but well worth it. Maintaining it wasn't too bad either. A dust cover could be a good investment though, or a can of compressed air at the ready.

Adding/removing extra hard drives can be a little bit annoying, especially plugging in cables, depending on how you have placed the PSU. It's nothing that can't be overcome by a little patience though.

What I love about it is the fact that the inside area for hard drives/optical drives/PSU is fairly modular allowing you to lay it out whatever way suits you, within reason.

As for fitting radiators, although I have yet to do so there is plenty of room to accommodate them, and it's one of the areas that heavily featured when the chassis was being designed and is quite apparent in the build.

Overall a lovely piece of kit, but I ended up going back to a CM690 for my main rig as space had become an issue.

Oh and it's always the first thing anyone mentions when they enter my office :D
