Hello all,

Looking for some open ear earbud recommendations please. Will mainly be used for sports (gym/running), prefer the hook style to the clip style. Looking to spend under £100.

Thanks!

I prefer the one piece over head such as shokz openrun with USB C charge. There were on a deal recently for a coffee over £100. I've gone through around 4 pairs of shokz in the last 6 or so years though I pretty much wear them most of the day at work and often in the evening. I find they last 18 months to 2 years but that is heavy usage. They have by far the best audio of any reasonable priced I tried with open ear, and the lowest transmitted sound for those around you (actual bone conduction). Not so much a gym issue but in other quieter public spaces. All the Shokz from cheapest to aeropex have been decent thought the cheapest are a little more chunky. When a pair failed early they replaced but you need to save the card with the serial number. Only thing I don't like is sometimes an accidental button press on the pause / play will redial last number....

I picked up some Raycon's to try as they were cheaper... they were terrible, audio sounded like I had my head in a bucket, they were externally noisy for others around me. I got the impression they were just speakers and not real bone conduction and the bluetooth range sucked. Walk 15 feet from your device in an open garden space it would start to drop connection. Honestly got so annoyed with them that I threw them out and bought another pair of Shokz so I can always have a set fully charged.

As the other post also said, shokz openrun are a great choice, i've have also had a few pairs. I now use shokz open fit pro as when wearing a hood the band on the others used to irritate me.
