So I'm looking at these headsets:

Gamecom 367 Headset

Gamecom 377 Headset

Now I've already seen a pair and the build quality is excellent; definitely the headset I want to buy, however I'd like to know which pair would give the best audio quality. The 367s are closed ear and the 377s are open. I don't really mind about sound leakage and I'm only really looking for audio quality as I do like to listen to a lot of music and these will probably be getting their fair share of it until I get some other headphones purely for music.

So simply, what is better - Closed or open ear headphones?

I find closed aren't so great for prolonged periods as they get hot and make my ears all sweaty. No idea on quality though as I've never had similar quality open and closed to compare to.

I think once you're approach the very high end open are supposed to be better (looking at what's available).

I myself prefer closed and have always been happy with them (currently using a pair of Audio Technica ATH A900s).
