Open Source Windows Mail Server

Hi All

Not to sure if this goes in here, or in windows, please move if I got it wrong.

I am looking for an open source or relatively cheap mail server to run on a Windows Server box.

Does any one have any recommendations or even products to avoid?

Install Linux in VMWare Server (which is free) as a guest OS in windows and run any of the Linux Open Source/Free mail solutions (such as dovecot for imap and postfix for smtp).

Not open-source but free (as in beer).

Which reminds me, we really need someone to go on a Stallman-esque rant about "Free Software" when people post looking for FOSS software when what they really mean is "cheap, preferably free" software.

As far as i knew windows server included mail server for smtp and pop3, shame it doesnt include IMAP

Ability Mail Server is pretty cheap. You can try it for free and It's really good. It does POP SMTP IMAP and Webmail.
