It says in the install guide:

Suse Linux displays the splash screen for a while. There is no progress bar or explanation asking you to wait. Please be patient!

No this was at 2:30 this point came up. It is now 6:30. Is 4 hours too long? [noob]should I just turn it off by the button?[/noob]

It has the mouse pointer which hasn't locked in place.

Thanks for the help. :)

Will it recover from where it left off if it was doing something?

(I haven't been sat in front of it waiting for it to finish btw.)

Worst case scenario is I install the new Ubuntu (the Drapper felt lacking in my mind.)

It didn't install GRUB!!!!

What a waste of time installing it.

*Downloads the new Ubuntu. :(

Actually before so, Ubuntu or Kubuntu? I have only used KDE briefly but I king of prefer it...

I'm a Gnome man so that's what I recommend. KDE, IMO, is just a bit too busy and I just love Gnome's GTK+ interface.

You might want to try SuSE just one more time before giving up. Perhaps it won't barf all over itself the next time.
