Opening a pills packet ALWAYS gives me the end with the folded instructions!

it moves to whichever side you open.

there's an almost invisible strand attaching it to each side, so when you pull one side open it brings the instructions around with it.

occasionally the strand fails but the chance is low

Wait till you get even older - You will have no chance with any packaging -I struggle to remove the sticky wrap on a loaf of bread - I have lost my temper numerous times.
Anything in a moulded plastic container is like trying to open a sharp knife.

As said thank god I am not the only one who struggles. :)

I think pill cartons have AI built in to send the instruction leaflet to whichever end it detects you opening. I would say my leaflet hit rate is about 75%, and if I do get the leaflet end I will rip the box open like a lion feasting on a still live warthog in the Serengeti. Guess what Youbube Recommendations thought I ought to be watching in the last few days. Not just lions, Wild Dogs as well, but mainly warthogs. Lions never have to bother which end to open up first though, its always the arse end.

Just don't open the end with the date and batch number on. Humans!
This. There are a small number of exceptions just to keep you on your toes (and annoy you), but generally speaking this is the way. Open the end with the medication name on, not the end with the barcode/expiry/batch details and you'll get them the 'right' way more often than not. My repeats list is well over a dozen items, I play this game regularly.
