Opening a PSP

Had a can or coke in my bag the other day along with my PSP when the can exploded

The PSP works fine, somehow, but the coke has obviously dried and buttons stick so was going to open it up to give it a clean

How easy is it to take apart and put back together again? i once opened up a PS2 controller and that wasnt the easiest thing ever to put back together

I modded my PSP with a new faceplate and I have to say it isn't easy. You have to be very careful as it's quite easy to get dust and stuff on the underside of the screen which would be visible from the top. Do a google search for PSP mod and see if you can find some instructions.

well i already have dust on the inside of the screen somehow

apart from the dust is it fairly easy?

It's failry easy if you have some instructions - a bit of a pig without as there's screws hidden under stickers and all sorts so you will probably spend ages looking for them.

Get a can of compressed air to blow the dust out of the screen before tightening it back up.

opened up the psp a couple of times before, isnt too hard to be honest. with the right screw driver and a good guide its a piece of cake. while your at it you may want to try and put the psp i a new exotic case, o which im sure can be found on ebay for a few quid

while its open i need to try and fix my wireless switch as well

might have a look for a new case, the one i have does have a few scratches on it
