not a bad opening to the season hopefully we can claim the Number 1 position and keep it up until Sept 20th at the least.

hmm looking at the entire fixture list looks like the FA have been good to us as there doesn't even seem to be one time where we have to play any of the bigger teams one after another

How do they decide the fixture list? Is the FA involved actively or is it a random process?

Toon's tough fixtures seem nicely spread, don't like Liverpool last game of the season, and that Man Utd game second off could be quite telling come christmas. It could make or break the new season for either team.

United fixtures

As usual I first scanned the list looking out for the Sunderland games but they're not there.

Arsenal have a pretty easy looking last few games, like last year

Chelsea's last 2 = away to Man U. then home to Leeds :eek:

& Liverpool v Newcastle on the last day could be a biggie.
