Opera 10.51 problem

I just updated opera to the latest version (10.51) and as usual opera decides to make a ton of changes that are simply not needed. When I tried to log into my router I noticed that the popup login prompt had been replaced with some silly little thing when the window fades to grey and a login box is part of the page rather than a popup. I know this is not a big issue, but I don't think Opera should be changing how a website was designed to be viewed and used and changed to what it thinks it should be used like. If my routers login is meant to have a popup box for username and password then thats what I want to happen. Is there any way in the new version of opera that I can get it to display pages as they were intended, nothing more?

Erm, all it's doing is using an overlay rather than a popup. Given you can't do anything with the page until you have logged in, I fail to see the problem.

It doesn't "change" how pages are displayed.

Well there are other problems as well with this latest version. For example if I download a file and set it to 'open', it will work fine, but any further files I attempt to open it instead opens the first file, rather than the file i specified at that time. The only way I found to solve this is to delete the entry from the download page after each download, otherwise it will open the wrong file. Thats a big issue for me, I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to do something that was simple before the update.

Opera 10.51 has a whole bunch of bugs. It's one of their worst releases ever. Actually, 10.50 was probably even worse.

As for your pop up thing - that'll just be a javascript pop up or something - instead of a standard box it gives a nice page. Whatever, but the good thing is it's non modal which means it doesn't 'lock' the page, i.e you can change tab and use the browser without having to dismiss the box. Previously you had to either cancel or accept the dialog which sucked, if you had to e.g. check another tab for the password you were meant to be typing in ....
