Evening all

Does anyone know how to disable the bit torrent feature in Opera? I'd much rather use uTorrent but i whenever i go to download a torrent it just opens with Opera.

in utorrent, under options>preferences, general tab, windows integration, click the 'associate with .torrent files' button.

That won't work

You have to go into the file handling thing in Opera, check the box to show files handled by Opera, and change it in there to point to uTorrent

only evil programs take back ownership of extensions even when you manually assign them to something else....

Could you explain further how you did it? As I have tried and it still says its going to use Opera

Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Downloads -> Find the torrent extention -> Double click it -> Then choose the appropriate Open with option.

And, you can turn off BitTorrent off in Opera by going to:

opera:config in your address bar, choose the bittorrent selection and unticking enable.

Thanks got it working after I changed enabled to off
