yeah going 6th form next year. but if worst comes to worst and she says no for 600 but yes for 350 with onboard gfx. i could get that pc anyways cause it would be faster and then in feb (my birthday) i can get a card for 70ish

Yeah a 4GHz i3 would be pretty decent in games when paired up with a birthday 460. Until then it's slideshow city though.

but i could force my mum to get me the 340 complete and try and buy a 460 off dad

+1 the 460 will meet your needs and more with that processor. It will be worth the wait!

+ another 1. If you can't get a decent GPU now and you have to go for the i3 system, just save until you can afford at least a 768mb 460. Dont cheap out on something nasty like a 430 if you want to play games.
The onboard might be pleasantly (well maybe that's stretching it a little) surprising. It can be overclocked. Check out some youtube vids of onboard graphics. You'll even see some nutters running Crysis! Some stuff runs pretty OK with details all cranked down.

ok my mam said i can get that pc i linked at the top as 600 is too much for her to pay as she has to buy for rest of family. as for my dad hes giving me 50ish for a gfx card. can anyone suggest any card that will be better than onboard for that price. might also try and get a new cooler off him aswell.
