Opinions on BMW 1 Series Coupe?

Hey guys

About a week ago i was given the list of company cars i can get once the lease on my Leon is up, nothing really inspiring on it for my tastes, but there is a BMW 125i Coupe on there which i really like the look of. A few of my mates have said it looks a bit dodgy and a few have said it looks nice.

I'm just wondering what the general OcUK consensus is on it, what do you think?

Looks better than the normal 1-series, IMO

Very nice cars by all accounts. Keep meaning to book the offered test drive in a 123d coupe. Go down to your dealership and have a poke around!

I quite like it.

Why a petrol if it is a company car? The tax will be a lot cheaper on the 120/23d

I prefer the 3 door hatch. The coupe looks very awkward.

@ Trifid there was a diesel on the list but it was the 120D which im not too keen on, plus id rather get away from diesel if i can. All i know is that if its on the list, i can get it

The 120D will be ~£500 cheaper a year lower on tax, and £1k on higher. Plus the 2 litre diesel engine is very good. Not driven the straight 6 though. Give them both a drive.

I think the Coupe is horrible.

My girlfriend has the 5 door hatch and its a very nice car.

I will definately give them both a drive, however i would prefer the petrol if i can get away with it, i worked it out at £415 a year average so i'd gladly pay the extra £35 a month for the petrol (unless the diesel is amazing)

I've seen a few on the road and i like them. And i agree with Draeger they do look good in white

My opinion of the whole 1 series range has been that it is for people who want a BMW badge, but cant afford a 3 or 5 series (men) or dont want a 'big' car (women). Same with the Merc A Class...

What else is on the list?
