Also, how are the photos when you use the full zoom? :cool:

A piggy, at full optical zoom:

Forth Rail + Road bridge, taken from about 4 miles away, again full optical zoom. Slight vignetting present though?

Both pictures taken in CCD Raw mode.

The second one is suffering from handshake.

yeah if there's one thing i've learnt, it's that a camera with 10x optical zoom and no image stability NEEDS a tripod.

Raymond - the camera was on the tripod for the 2nd image. I didn't use the 2 second self timer trick though. so perhaps the camera moved slightly while pressing shutter button.

Another shot taken same day as the bridge shot. Slightly hazy looking as it was quite a hazy day. Again full 10x optical zoom, ccd raw mode. 200iso so slight noise.

Quite impressed to be able to read the writing on the side of the boat!
