Meed a new case but im very skint,

What do people think of these and which would they choose :

Asus TA-210 Series Midi Tower (Black) - No PSU

Akasa AK-ZEN-01-BK Zen Black Case - No PSU

Thermaltake VC2000BNS Mambo SuperMidi Tower - Black

Antec SLK3000B Midi Tower Case - No PSU

Currently swaying towards the Antec or the Thermaltake

To house the rig in my sig and later a C2D system

Im in the same situation really mate. Was leaning towards the mambo :\
Role on the opinions :p

Would save up and invest in an Akasa Eclipse 62, don't cut corners on quality, especially when it comes to a case.... ;) you will regret it later on..

Yes but your Lanboy is a £80 case.

For the money the best cooling case, best built case and one that can run SLI better than most cases at any price is the Zen.

Have a search around this forum, great cases and by far the superior of those listed.

Big enough for a 8800GTX SLI if you so wish, which is not bad for a £30 case. ;)

Takes a lot for a case to impress me when it is cheap, as I am a case snob but you just can not really fault the Zen for the money.

Easily the best steel case made for that money ever, probably better than a Lanboy at that price point due to the extra space needed in the current PC world.

Try one, they hold their value if mint so you will only lose £2/3 worst case scenario, superb for builds for other people.

Look more expensive than £30 which is a bonus. Redefined the budget case market in my opinion.

Yeh, think that may be because they are popular, or at least they should be!

Phone the shop up in the morning or send a webnote asking when they will next be getting them in. :)

Well i should be calling into the shop tomorrow anyhow. The ETA for the black ones was 1/2/07. If they dont have any what do you think of the thermaltake mambo as an alternative?

wow, i'd not seen the ZEN's until i noticed this thread.. was going to buy a PC7+ but bought a new guitar so dont have any spare cash at all now...sooo i'll be grabbing the white zen when its next in stock :D

that is as long as i'll be able to fit a tuniq inside it...?

Anyone get any info on when they are back in stock?

I asked today and theres no ETA. I ended up with the Thermaltake Mambo. Will get round to building at the weekend. Will post a review then :)

Danng. Need one of those PC-7 Blacks soon...will have to wait a while for my new build then! Things can only go down in price anyway.

They have gone up in price over the past year. ;)

Sorry, I meant other parts actully, I don't expect the PC7 to go down, bit too good for that ;)

Thanks for that mate. Just have to decide if I should buy my new components now with the mambo while some are on this week only or wait for the zen to come back :\

£32 - a bargain i thought :)

Used to be a bargain, it is now just a good buy. Akasa Zen for the same money makes you wonder why the Mambo is not in the Mid/Low £20s.

Nothing wrong with it, apart from you can buy the Zen for similar money. Much the same as the Soprano and PC7+. Take them on their own and they are cracking cases, just the problem with them is there is a slightly better case for just either a little bit more or the same money that makes it a strong second choice, unless the looks take your fancy.
