edit - they dont say san diego core and also doesnt say E4 stepping?

It has 1mb L2 cache so it is almost certain to be San Diego(I don't think it can be otherwise) although I don't know about the stepping question, I guess you pays your money and takes your chances :)

Cheers for the heads up, shame I don't have the cash to take advantage.

Built an opteron 146 based Asus socket 940 system for a m8 a few weeks ago, nothing slow about it,benched just the same as mine at stock. The mem can be sourced new at 30 quid per 512mb stick, not exactly expensive.

A socket 940 board is a semi server board that is expensive, slow and can only use registered RAM which is slow and expensive.

Pop it on a Asus SK8V and some Corsair / OCZ 3200 reg rams and there we go :D

I had a SK8V from OcUK b-grade section. Great board. Good overclocking. Used it with my FX51 I had a year or so ago. Also had some OCZ 3500's. Decent fast setup tbh.
