Hi Guys,

Bit of a strange question here..

How does the Opteron 246 (2ghz 800FSB) compare to the P4 Northwood (3Ghz 800FSB) for gaming

I have tried searching for benchmarks with google but can find none.

I know that neither chips are that "great" compared to todays offerings :).
 
If im not mistaken thats a server chip socket 940.

i think the opty would out preform the P4 no problem

if you are considering an upgrade from a p4 for gaming i would advise going with a Core 2 duo setup.
