okay so 4 months ago i saw this shiny new sticker slapped on the BT cabinate outside my council flat with
"openreach superfast fiber broadband now avaliable"

i was like O......MY...... BUHDAS!!

goes and check the website:
http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when/
putting SE5 0XL in it says its accepting orders.

but then i go on sky my current isp to check for fiber but no fiber :(, then i though okay maybe just BT first but no luck either....

ummm.... any one else had this problem or are their still rolling out in my building? =/

Strange one. The BT Wholesale checker says available, but Samknows claims from 31st March, though it's now actually showing a speed on the samknows site that it wasn't before. Who's right?

As my ADSL is currently on sky I'll have a look to see if they're accepting orders yet.

*edit* Sky's accepting orders. Looks like I will have to put up with 1.5Mbps no longer!

BT Wholesale checker is correct.

Sam knows still says 31/03/2013 for mine, and my Infinity install is planned for 22nd this month :o

Yep, I can order with Sky or BT. Question now is which.

Also wondering what speed I'll get, my house is the furthest from the cabinet (which is the furthest cabinet from the exchange). An Openreach engineer gave me a rough estimate of 19Mbps on fibre when they replaced my wall socket last year but sky's webpage is estimating 37.

I can't wait for this, expected in my area in June. Fed up of my 3mb/s connection.

One concern though is that when I get it, I may try and download the internet...

The BT wholesale checker estimate will be fairly accurate. Have a look at Plusnet.
