Optical/Coaxial Or Analouge out?

Hi, was just wondering what the best way to connectg my PC to my Z5400s would be.

I currently have it connected using the standard 6CH analouge connection from my soundblaster but my motherboard has optical/coaxial out (the circular one not square)

WHat would be the best way to connect it up as I watch a lot of HD films via my pc.

Failing this would it be worth upgrading my soundcard to one with optical out?

If so any recomendations?

I don't think it really matters to be honest.

Optical is generally better when using longer cable runs but the signal will be affected more by bends in the cable. Coaxial won't be effected by bends in the cable but the signal will degrade quicker.

You're not going to hear a difference with either, optical cable will be slimmer though so probably a better bet.

If there wont be much difference I think ill leave it as it is, saves tidying the cables again then
