Optical drive on side?

Hi guys just got one of these:

and a normal optical drive tray, will i have any issues with the disks skipping, should have got a self loading drive!!!
Anyone use a normal drive tray sidewys?

I have done in the past, works fine for normal size CD, doesnt work with those mini size CDs but how often do you use them?

I have that case (sitting sideways as pictured) using this Blu Ray drive. I have put many DVDs and Blu rays in it like this and they hold just fine - it really isn't a problem, the trays are made to work in this orientation.

cmnder andi, same drive as i have too, just put my mind at rest! Just when you think you have covered all angles something springs to mind that throws doubts into it!
