Optimist, Pessimist or somewhere inbetween?

Having thought about it, i think im a rather pessimistic person, i wish i was more optimistic but dont know if its a built in thing or just a state of mind.

I definitely tend look at things with a large degree of cynicism.

So people of OCUK are you optimistic, pessimistic or somewhere inbetween and do you like being that way?
 
I hope for the best... but experience has taught me to be prepared for the worst :p

As for the question about the glass being half full or half empty it doesn't matter what I want to know is who the hell has been stealing my drink!:mad:

Yep I'm the same, but it feels great when things go well. I suppose my pessimissm means that I always ensure that I plan for the worst case scenario, which has helped out several times at work. :)

Only when I've not been paying attention whilst pouring... if using alcohol this is usually followed by a long period of mourning for the lost beverage :(
