Optional Intermediate Servicing WHY?!

Will reach 7500km this week in our Hyundai, now they recommend servicing every 7500km.

However this is optional, and to maintain your manufacturer warranty you are only required to have your servicing done every 15000.

So why would you bother, they only recommend changing the air filter every 45k anyway in the standard servicing, so all the 15k services are is an oil filter, fuel additive (if they even bother) and inspection of the car!

Money maker really, but I would prefer to change the air filter more regularly, lots of dust especially during summer. After 45k it will be pretty clogged up, im sure changing it sooner would pay for itself with a small performance increase.
