Options: Dead drive

Well, it's going to die haha. I bought a WD Blue 1TB drive at a car boot today, for next to nothing, from a stool with a ton of other kit on it. Figured if it's dead. My loss, no more than a McDonalds meal.

And what do you know, it has a few bad sectors :( The warranty ran out in April... Any chance of getting it replaced? Or should I just scrap it?

I checked the serial on their site, which gave me the date of April this year ending.

I will give them a call on Tuesday :)
 
I have flattened it (written 0's to it) which took a long time! And then I got windows to assign a drive letter and partition it. As soon as I run the WD diagnostics, it still brings up the error. I might run a extended diagnostics. But even Windows brought up it's own HDD warning message throughout the flattening process...
