Most opticians are competent with eye tests but what is important is not to put off having one.

A lot of neurological problems or even common problems like diabetes can be identified by a competent optician. Obviously, probably not the ones you'd find working at Boots but if you go see an optometrist at the hospital or a private clinic.
It can show up diabetes & high blood pressure plus a few other nasties, some opticians charge £20 extra for this testBoots do that, too. Can't remember why.
Actually places like Boots are frequently better equipped than independent chains.

Our store is massive and all of our optoms are really fun.
I remember when i first went there a lady called Ionna gave me a sight test lmao thats how i initialy ended up going for the job she pointed me in the right direction..
Amazing woman.
Go to a specsavers branch usualy there good it depends though as every one is different.
The store directors alll have different ways of running there stores being a franchise n all but in general every one i have been to the service from the optoms is always good.
