Orange 3g

Hi,
I am currently on a orange monthly contract with a standard sim card.Does anyone know if orange will give me a 3g sim card as i have just got hold of a 3g handset sim free ?

Yes mate but it wont give 3g function if you know what i mean.

Mate i have done the same thing and they wont budge, Ive asked them a few times and they said no as I have to be on a 3g contract etc....

If you do have any luck let me know as im wanting the same thing.

It would be daft for Orange not to give you a 3G SIM for you to use in your 3G handset - makes no difference to Orange, SIMs aren't that expensive and they want you to use 3G since that network is lightly loaded and the 2G network is heavily loaded. Keep asking.

Mate orange are probably the most anal network, i used to work for cpw and they wouldnt do a faulty sim swap unless their technical department first looked at it for 72hours etc... ill keep asking as what you say is right its more money for them but Im not confident.

I shall give them a call, Like has been said its crazy if they will not give me one. Infact i shall take it further if they will not as its absurd.
