Orange calls barred

Having moved from Vodafone to Orange within the last month, it has to be said I am not impressed. So far since I took out the contract with the Nokia N82, I've had to call Orange because my calls have been barred, followed by having to have a bill recalculation after they put me on the wrong tariff (a broadband tariff for a USB dongle of all things?!)

And after all this I'm now on the phone to them again, as yet again my calls have been barred. Safe to say I am not impressed in the slightest.

So far after asking for compensation they've offered me a months free line rental.

Anyone got any advice on this situation? I'm on the phone to them now, and will update this IF I get anywhere

Update: After getting off the phone to "Suzanne" not only did she also fail to find out why there was a bar on my phone, but she has questioned whether I should get a free months line rental as compensation. For all Orange know I could be using the phone to make business calls, and as far as I'm concerned that would be worth more than 30 quid

Never going to get more than the intrinsic value in compensation. They dont promise you 100% uptime and so you dont have a case. If they took into account the implicit values of a contract to someone, the value could be anything.

How long has this bar been on the line?

Ok so the long and short of it is if I don't have my phone calls back by Saturday I'll be cancelling my contract. Does anyone have any idea of where I stand with cancelling it?
