I wonder if you kind people could offer me some advice.
I recently moved into my own place and needed to find an ISP. I saw O2 did a deal where you could get cheaper broad band if you were already an O2 mobile customer.
Obviously, I signed up to the cheapest BT package to get the line activated.
I'm with Orange and decided to see if they did a similar policy. It turns out they did and to quickly summarise, these were the packages they could do:
As per usual, Indian cool centre, but I thought great - broadband for £7.00 per month.
The truth is, they don't pay any line rental to BT because they actually take the line over and cancel your contract with BT.
This has landed me with a £103.30 bill from BT, which I'm obviously not happy with.
Can I get Orange to rein-burst me with that £103.30 considering they mislead me? According to the bloke at BT customer services, it's a common issue.
Anyone faced anything similar?

- £7.00 - not sure of spec
- £12.00 a month, 8Mb unlimited
- £17.00 per month, same spec as above but "We pay your BT line rental"
