A friend has just got a livebox and has been having problems connecting via wireless. He's using a Belkin USB wireless adaptor and it does find and connect to the livebox but it keeps losing the signal every few minutes or even seconds.

The box and the machine are 10ft away if that but the signal fluctuates wildly from weak to strong. Theres only one wall between them so I don't think its a distance issue.

I have a livebox at home and can connect via wireless easily - even whilst in my car on the driveway it picks up the signal. My laptop with built in wireless kept losing the signal whilst right next to the Livebox.

He lives next to a busy road so I suggested it might be interferance from outside.

Anyone got any ideas? Having spoken to orange they just say the box is too far away which is rubbish.

Livebrick = fail

10 feet, no cable?

Those 10 feet include any water tanks, pipes, lead paint - many things can interfere with the signal. Does he have another wireless device he can try? Might be the PC adapter.
