I have decided to go for a new provider t mobile wont be bringing the 6500 slide until Jan/Feb t mobile CS are very good.

I have got the price plan sorted so I want to know who have the best reception and who's got the best CS, I know Orange have an Indian call centre this is a huge turn off for me.

Thanks

If you have one of the higher plans on Orange you get the Premium CS which is UK based. Everytime I have rang o2 I have had a UK call center

With O2 you can get cheap BE* broadband (o2 broadband) as they own them if you have a LLU exchange (sadly I don't).

Something like £9 for 8mb unlimited.

O2 will have a better signal in doors and in awkward places - O2 and Vodafone's frequency is lower than the likes of Orange, TMobile (etc) which means that the radio bounces around a lot more.

I was on Orange and have been with O2 for 18 months. Orange customer service > O2 although I upgraded my phone last week and it broke after 8 days. I rang CS and got through to india but it was ok and my new phone replacement is coming tomorrow.

I find that O2 signal is better and the unbranded phones are better and they are cheaper, and tbh after being on 3 for one year all customer service is heaven compared to them

thanks

So far Orange seem better this was also the case when i phoned orange and o2.

With orange i got through to someone straight away with o2 i was told i had to redial an 0870 number.

If i go to CPW the phone will be unbranded

I always get Uk call centre when I phone up orange. Although it's only when I lock my phone by accident and phone up like a No Swearing! that can't remember a 4 digit code.

i am sure that t-mob still has foreign contact centres, more depends on what you are ringing for that sends you to them. oh, and your customer value :]

If you care, O2 have unbranded phones whilst orange dont.

Not strictly true, ive had 4 phones with 02 and 3 have been unbranded but my current one has the o2 logo on it(all be it very small branding). Everytime ive called o2 ive always got through to an eglish call centre and have been delt with very well.

hi there!

can i just ask what was it about t-mobile cs that was so bad? i work for them in cs you see and any feedback from customers is always grately appreciated. cheers

You'll probably find O2 provide better signal coverage than Orange. However, O2's customer service can sometimes leave much to be desired.

Please re-read I said T Mobile CS were very good, the only reason to leave, something I really dont want to do by the way, is because T Mobile cant give me a date when they are bringing the 6500 slide

Just to avoid any confusion every time i have called T mobile the service has been spot on, and i love the welsh accent too

haha, sorry mate!

Work moved from Vodaphone to orange about 3 years ago now, and although I have had no complaints with the customer service side, I hate Orange for signal strength and coverage, I have always found it to be very poor compared to other networks.
However, I always have a MS smartphone so can not rule out WM6 having something to do with it..

My own experience of them both is:

Orange customer service is dire. Ignorant, arrogant staff. Reception is excellent everywhere. Never had an issue with payments, all automated, brilliant. Changing tariff was near impossible. Changing phone WAS impossible.

O2 customer service is very helpful (although they appear thick and don't communicate). Reception is crap. Payments are missed every month (I'm barred for 2 days every month because their payments system doesn't appear to work on my account!!). Changing tariff is easy. Changing phone is easy.

Adding my own experiences:

o2
- Probably better signal
- Cheap (ADSL2+) broadband via Be

BUT
- No normal delivery reports for SMS (you'll have to remember to put *0# at the start of every text)
- Problems receiving SMS (most of my friends on o2 experience long delays for texts to come through)
- Problems receiving multi-part SMS (frequently the second half never made it through to me)

Orange
- None of the SMS problems I experienced with o2
- Better CS

BUT
- More expensive than o2
