Orange Wednesday codes

I just hand them my phone, it's much easier than me standing there,
Looking like a pillock reading out a string of letters and characters to the cashier,
Whilst trying to impress a date,
At the same time feeling like a ***** due to the fact I'm using a voucher...
IMO!

I thought that too, but then I came to the realisation that it's a Wednesday! Everyone around me is doing the same. :p

Not to mention no one really cares anyway.

Thats what I was planning to do, how much are the 3D glasses down there?

I'm not sure as I've only watched 3D films at the Vue in Gunwharf Quays. I don't know if Odeon are different but at Vue the ticket costs more than an normal ticket (about £10) and you get free 3D glasses (RealD technology).

At the odeon here it's about £8 for one 3D ticket and we were allowed to use orange Wednesdays, so instead of it being £16 ish it was only £8, didn't have to pay for the glasses though it might have been included in the ticket price itself. (went to see Avatar 3D last Wednesday) x

Did they let you use it for Avatar in 3D? The Odeon at Port Solent down here in Portsmouth won't let you use it for 3D film despite not have a sign anywhere that says that.

Yup, although this was a VUE cinema in Leicester.

I recon this should become an Official thread for people who are on Orange who are not usng their codes can share them with people who do not get the benfit of Orange Wednesdays due to not being on their Network. However if it costs money to get the codes then if I was on Orange and saw this thread I would tell you all to do one...

As has already been covered it costs us lot on Orange £0.35 for a code, I'd rather not spend money on people I don't know (it may 'only' be 35p but that does add up) so will continue to not use it unless I go or a friend asks for the code. :)

Everywhere I've been (Vue & Odeon) the Real3D glasses are free and handed to you as you enter the screen area...but then at a varying cost of £7-£10.50 a ticket they are anything but free. :p

Yeah.

Hilariously at the time i said "it's only 80p"... so i bought the 5 pairs i needed for the group and realised that was £4 :/

Ah well. The tickets were £9.60 though, and £11.XX at Odeon so works out i guess.

in Bristol I have found that staff at Vue want to see the phone and number and Showcase are content to have it read to them.

each Weds I just dial 241 and press 1 when the voice starts.
the msg arrives a few seconds later.

I used one tonight that a friend sent me. The guy didn't even ask to see the message, he wanted it read out to him.

Good job on representing "everyone else"! But nice work.

You'll note i wrote "at my local odeon" ;) But nice work in trying to make me look silly. You'll see, with minimal effort, that the point of my post was that it differs per cinema. Thanks for confirming it :)
