fire slower for a lot more headshots or just stick a barrel down and take out 10 plus at once, tar pit and barrel is your friend if it starts to get a bit hairy:D
 
The upgraded Spike Trap has a snare effect on it so I use these instead of the tar pit.
My best tip so far though is to somehow get the orcs to walk head on into a wall arrow trap. Rips them to shreds.
The easiest way to kill them on a level with lava pits or acid pits is to keep using the wind ring, although you don't earn as much this way.
Really enjoying this game.
 
I played the demo last night and enjoyed it, something to fill the gap till BF3. Currenltly downloading it now:)
 
Bought this yesterday out of boredom... had seen the youtube vids where you can select the various traps/play styles etc and thought it looked fun.

Total bargain for £12... so much fun, surprised this thread is so quiet :p
 
Played about 4 hours last night. Really good game, have been mainly using the spike and tar pit with archers up high if possible. I also like to use the mace that hangs from low ceilings. Some of the open levels can be difficult and have had to do a few restarts.
 
I have dd which had put me off getting this game but finally went for it and love it. Demo gives a good idea but more monsters/inventive traps and the castles become a lot more difficult

Good stuff and with the stats/achievements I find myself playing this more than my other games at the moment.
 
Did anyone pick up the DLC that was just released?

£1.59 for a few more traps and weapons, Can't go wrong expanding the Orc killing inventory!

Really enjoying the game at the moment, Good fun for an hour or so if none of my other games take my fancy.

I hope the devs continue to support it for a while to come. The inclusion of more maps, Traps, Multiplayer and so on would be fantastic.
 
I went for the dlc. £1.59 for just traps and weapons is a lot but £1.59 isn't :) Satchell weapon is very good - effectively allows you to one shot groups of orcs. The other ones so far have been pretty meh - but it does allow you to do more and fun ways to kill the orcs which is the point and i'd probably buy it again in the same position :)

On another note - I can get combo 3's fairly easily but higher I struggle on - any ideas what the timeout for the combos is and does it include weapon damage as well?

No idea really, but I have had some pretty big combos usually by having multiple traps in one area and a barrier forcing them to stop and having archers shooting at them. Biggest I've had was 30+ (got the 30 achievement).
 
I've found this game to be really interesting at first then really tedious shortly after.

I think you mean kill steaks :) The combo is where the orc dies by a number of different methods - not quite managed to work out how it is doing it.
