good evening .

ive just had my MSI 3080 card cancelled due to issues within MSI.

i am annoyed but however completey understand this is beyong your control. As a company i cannot fault Overclockers whatsoever.I've had a constant weekly update from day one.

**** happens and the whole situation is a mess at the moment.

Thanks for your efforts and customer support. Very much appreiciated.

I'm not so understanding. Overclockers chose to take pre-orders for cards and I have sat and watched the count go from position 700 down to 50 now to be dropped. I could have spent the time since September trying to source a card from else where but now here we are. I completely understand overclockers cant do anything about MSI deciding to drop a card line but what they could do is offer a way for you to atleast switch your pre-order to another card. The fact the email was just "MSI said no, money will be back to you next week please don't contact us" is pretty disappointing and honestly after having held our money for that long if your customers want to contact support you will have to suck it up.
 
Could be everyone in the queue just heard the news.

MSI must have been looking at the pre-order money and comparing it to current prices they could sell the same card at. Maybe with some trivial changes for the impression they changed something.

Yeah, the email came through at 8. I assume doing it out of hours they are hoping less people try to contact them, smart.
 
So your blaming OCUK for MSI cancelling the entire product range, and OCUK have just refunded nearly 1/2 million they would rather be spent on actual products?
 
If the Suprim version which is taking over from the discontinued trio doesn't have back orders then couldn't the guys on the trios have the option of moving over and paying the extra?

While not ideal it still gives people the option of getting a card assuming MSI don't cancel those in a few months.

there is a thread on the forum detailing current stocks inbound. OC upgraded i think 40 msi cards to the supreme free of charge

Only if they put you there, they did not offer to let you switch to another card even at the back of the line and pre-orders are closed so you can't get back in the queue even if you wanted to.

so you are blaming OC for the choice of card. get over it . i have. im not getting it and no matter the ranting you do will not change that. we picked the wronng card. we are **** outta luck .move on.
 
One thing that is ******* annoying is waiting 7 months after paying to here this, and true this is out of OC hands in this respect.
However as an OC customer (not MSI), saying please don't contact us, is ******* disgusting. We have faint in waiting with you after ordering and just to be brushed aside without any alternative help to get a 3080 is appalling.
If I heard nothing back in response, then I guarantee I will never order anything from OC again.
 
It's been known for a good few days the MSI Trio X range is no more and people round the world are getting cancelled preorders.

The only thing they did was drop the X to now a Z with a metal backplate but same card.:rolleyes: So retailers are now dropping preorders of course because prices have gone up and they are not willing to sell at the old prices. So they expect people now to pay the difference which is almost double the original preorder price or more.

Remember this is the same MSI that were scalping their own cards a few months back, made some bs excuse about the distributor (who are DIRECTLY CONNECTED TO THEM) being in the wrong. Scumbag company for sure, profits over all.

Where did I blame OC for my choice of card? I blame OC for not offering an option to switch to another pre order queue, nothing else. You and that other chap need to spend just a little more time reading before you reply.

then order one. you will be on the end of that said queue. OC cant tell you what card to order. thats your choice .
