Looks good, but all RTS games have been ruined by MOW for me now. I went back to COH when Tales of Valor came out and found myself wanting to manually control the tanks and try to aim for the back armour! COH ended up frustrating me as the tank AI is shocking and I fired a few shots of the main canon and 50cal from a sherman against one infantry unit who didnt die then shot me with a rocket launcher.

I've gone back to MoW now which despite being buggy is really good fun when you play with a mate online against others :D If this game plays as good as it looks then it will be great!

Woah, first Supreme Commander 2, now this? SquareEnix really seem to be trying to get into the RTS market. Sure, they're only publishers, but still. Perhaps they're considering something else?

I loved Soldiers Heroes of WWII for those reasons which was the predecessor to Men of War. The bit that killed it for me was not being able to find people to play against. How is the online server browser and player matching - I don't mind linking up to random people as long as its fairly painless.

Not bad in MoW. I always find a game to join and so does my mate. The lack of in-game invites ala COH is a bit annoying but if you're playing on your own there's always games to play. The patching is completed borked though and there is a beta MP patch out and weeks later everyone is still waiting on the official one!

Hardly come across english speaking players though. They're mostly russian and you can't read the text they type as it shows up as garbage!

2.2mb from steam :)

well its okay so far, its small with 3 missions that arent very challenging  but its a demo ... its gfx engine runs really well and smooth even when all hell has broken out and seems polished

* it includes a few videos of aircrafts and tanks *

** theres a button top left of the screen, after you have given your troops or tanks orders click it .. you get a cinematic view of the battle and it looks superb **

Agree it plays a bit like WiC - but I thought it was more "engaging" to play than WiC - from the demo at least.

Shame it appears to be only 2v2 in multiplayer though :(

It should be out tomorrow...is anyone getting it?

I loved WIC - still fire it up from time to time, need to have a look at this to see how it compares but 2v2 is not good if it is trying to match it

i didnt like it a lot, since men of war and its depth of detail this just isnt up to it for me.

Men of War, top ww2 (and any era with mods) rts
