Ordered a Intel x25-V SSD

As thread title what do I need to do when I get the drive other than Install windows 7 and update firmware etc, Will be the first time I've played around with one of these...Also is it gonna be a small jump from a WD Caviair Black 640 drive.

Have a look under SSD Windows 7 Tweaks although I wouldn't disable pagefile, but leave it on C:\...or you could use SSD Tweak Utility.

Thanks for the link provided.. Would it be best to Install my Games on my Caviar Black 640gb drive and put my wd green 500 in a external enclousre for my data backups.

You won't have any room on your SSD for games as that is only 40GB, so simply use that for your OS and yes next best place for your games would be on the WD Black.

As regards the WD Green, you could simply leave that as an internal HDD, really depends whether or not you want other comps to access the data on it, if so, then put it into a USB/eSATA caddy...

What I might plan to do if I like the SSD is perhaps wait till the next generation comes out and then put my games onto another SSD when price drops in the future

till then it would be best to put them on the 640gb drive.
