Ordered a new mouse, is it worth it?

I too just paid 25 quid for a 518 amongst shelling out for a completely new rig and i have to say the mx 518 is probably the best value component of the lot. I used to have a g7 that imo was a complete waste of money. The battery packed up after about 2 years of use and logitech couldn't supply me one rendering my g7 useless. So in short the 518 feels a better mouse than the g7 was and cost me less than half..

Just sit on your arse for a week playing games and it'll get paid for itself...how do you think people spend thousands of pounds on new their rigs xD

Roccat Kone pal. Big step from the 518

I think I spent ~£65 on my MX Revolution and I most certainly will be buying one again when this dies.

i also love my mx and as you said peaon i will deff be buying one once mine has gone kaput but mine has been going strong for 4 years now and still hold's a very good charge after all this time.

Not used one so have no idea - they look to be twice the price of the 518 so being a big step up is no surprise.. Slightly out of context in that the fella is questioning if a 25 quid mouse is worth it.

Well worth every penny I first started gaming with an M$ intelli mouse and whilst they are decent after buying an mx500 (i think it was) and only replacing it 3 years later because the grip on the mouse wheel had worn away I wont ever use anything else.

I hear people raving about mouses (mice/whatever) that cost 2x or 3x more and that epic lan gamers put there name too etc (like wtf cares) and I just don't see the sense in it when the logitech mx range are awesome and at a great price point.

Also I've heard logitech's RMA service is superb replacing items and asking you to destroy your old one and send them a picture xD (never had to use it myself though).

TLDR: your mouse is worth every penny.

I have finally recieved my logitech MX518 mouse and I think its FANTASTIC. I don't know why anyone would need to spend anymore on a mouse than this as its excellent, very comfortable on the hand! I would recommend it to anyone who has a very old mouse and thinking of a new one for a new build!

Some body else has probably said it but the Mx518 is amazing. As I posted in another thread I've had mine for 3-4 years and once mine finally dies (its got a few years in it still) I will definitely be getting another.

Edit:

I'm glad you like it. :)

My Logitech RX 250 does the job very well, and costs £7 :D

I don't need all of the weights and lights etc to pwn :p

Guys,

Just ordered a Logitech MX 518 after everyone was raving about it, but £25 is a lot for just a mouse?

I currently have a packard bell optical one that is 8 years old! I'm managing but is the logitech that much better??

£25 is a lot of money, for a uni student!

Big mistake or worth it ?

Definitely worth it, especially for a decent Logitech mouse.

Have had my G5 for a few years now, best mouse I've ever had (was a free replacement for my MX1000 :D).

£25 isn't a lot at all for a mouse.
