Now to build the thing:D

Very nice! Not sure why you went with such high speed ram though! :o

I await it's building with baited breath! Don't forget build log with lots of pics :p (Some people on here who <3 the pr0n )

Cheers cammy, although I seem to recall a time you thought of me in a rather contrasting light :p

was that not because you said something about people who spend lots of money on cpu's thinking there getting the best are muppets ;) or something to that effect :D

Nah, I said it was complete overkill :p

(... and then I might have mocked your skills as an electrician shortly after)

Original thread, here.

Seems he didn't have the money for K series chip at the time, but wanted the benefits of P67 - such as CF support.

Odd that he managed to spend so much on the ram - with the stuff I specced orginally he could have got the K series

Fair enough. Not what I would have done personally. Good build otherwise though :)

I'd definitely save on the cooler to get a 2500K, and maybe a better board as well. This looks like a mistake. The RAM looks overkill, and the savings could be used for a better case / PSU.

If you get the chance, you should sort it out asap. Remember you have 7 days return under the distance selling act, and you can refuse and have the delivery guys return the package at no cost (iirc).

Have i made a boo boo then?:(

Ok i must admit i havent built a PC for a few years so i am out of touch with current hardware, which will account for my error.

Now the BIG question is for the same budget (£592 all in), what should i have done??

I will speak to OC and see if i can appeal to their better side

Thanks though guys.
