Hey Nvidiot,
No need for HDD or optical drive.

Wish i had pay'ed more attantion in the offset. Still it will teach me all over again to walk before i can run.

So is your spec the better way to go?

Again i am out of touch with things so all the advice is welcomed with open arms................and a nice cuppa:)

If your gonna overclock though, you'd probably want an aftermarket cooler like the Corsair A50 or something as its so cheap ;)

no.

http://www.anandtech.com/show/4083/...-core-i7-2600k-i5-2500k-core-i3-2100-tested/3

These chips overclock very well. Both my Core i5-2500K and Core i7-2600K hit ~4.4GHz, fully stable, using the stock low-profile cooler.

The £25-30 for a cooler can be used to insure the important parts are not sacrificed in anyway.

Budget wise the current spend is £592 lets say i can squeeze another £50 tops.

How does that change things?:)

In a nutshell the computer is for gaming more so the likes of Crysis if that helps.

Come to think about it, as my insight is some what limited i think its best if i go on you chaps better judgement.
Its the best spec i can get for the £650 mark that will run games very nice. Overclocking is a bonus but not essential. Multi GPU's again would be nice but not to sure if that will go with my budget.

I think the best single gpu setup is for you, the amount of people that come to these forums and ask for a future crossfire/sli spec, but actually carry through this option is a small percent.

Yes, but what's the temp. In any case, you can do some mild overclocking on the stock cooler safely. But it's good to have the option for the future, and worth the upcharge over a H67 (imo).

That build above is good, however, I'd 'still' spend on a 650W PSU.

For the graphics card, you have the option of a 480GTX (best performance, more heat and noise), a GTX560ti (Twin Frozr II, good performance, good heat and noise management, and lower power consumption), and a HD6950 2GB (2GB, roughly equivalent to a GTX560ti).
