Hello,

Some of you may remember my thread (probaly not :p) a month or so back around getting a car for around 20k well I have done it.

I work for VW Group therefore a 20% discount on all new cars and options so I have gone for the following:

A3 2.0T FSI S-Line Special Edition Manual in a special paint called Avus Silver (below)

with

Arm Rest
BOSE
Rain and Light Sensor Pack
Debadged (Zero Cost Option)

All for the sum of 18k which is a discount of around about 4.5k, there is also a general public discount on this model + my discount makes it very attractive price indeed.

Pick up is early July & I can't wait :) This also means that I can now leave the company without being tied to it with a car which is the main reason for me buying a new car as I am looking to leave soon.

P.S The colour can be changed for another few weeks so opinions always welcome.

P.S - Not my favourite colour in the world, prefer them darker etc

That's a brilliant price too..

As for colours, I'd go for black. Hard to keep clean, but there's a black S Line that parks on the same car park as I do for the football, and it looks absolutely stunning :cool:

I currently have a Sportback S-Line 2.0TDI with DSG it's good but it's thirsty, I never ever ever use the paddles use it in auto mode and its boring tbh.

Manual all the way....

Black is good however I have had a black car and it did my brain in.

Marituis Blue is also good. However the Avus Silver is a special paint and hopefully when it comes to re-sell time it will be a bit different to all the other black a3's

It depends, if you get an SE one you get an armrest as it's S-Line it's an option. It's swings and roundabouts with Audi's.

Fair play - I do :p However I still may change it I can also get it in Misano Red which is used a lot on the S4 but I am thinking of resale.
 
Lovely car. Wouldn't be my choice of colour, personally I'd go for mauritius blue or one of the other pearlescents, grey or red etc.

Arrgh you've all got me doubting my colour choice now....

I have had a A3 Marituis Blue before and a red one, the blue was lovely.

Thats my problem..... I want it to be different....

I think its between

Original Colour (Avus Silver)
Garnet Red
Dolphin Grey (Have a sportback in this atm this is very nice)
Marituis Blue - Does look awesome and I don't see many of these

But there's also Silver

Silver's boring. Is Dolphin Grey the 2nd to last one you posted? If so GET IT! :D

Looks a lot like the colour of my 306 (except a bit lighter), when the sun comes out it's gorgeous.

I'm the same, I like to be a bit different, hence why there's less than 60 GTi6's which are the same colour :cool:
