Hi All

Quick question, i ordered an item from a site. i did check the site out at first etc etc to ensure it was safe, however wasn't untill after i ordered i realised that it may just be for business consumers?

It asked for the company i worked for as i created my account, so i put my company name in... other sites have done this previously so didn't think anything of it.

As a single consumer would i still have the right to order from the site? If someone could PM so i can give exact site and give advice would appreciate it.

thanks

didnt know if it would count as advertising, and i would be their office is closed till the morning.

wanted to know by then so i can cancel if im not supposed to of ordered.

Surveryor pointed out advertising edited and removed.

They do seem to sell to non-business customers as their T&Cs refer to this.

If you've indicated you're a business customer you've possibly lost your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations.

Thanks mate, The business name field was compulsary indicated by a * while registering

i couldn't leave it blank? Was just worried incase they saw the business name i worked for, got in contact to ensure it was a legit order and got me in trouble... i've only worked there a month so last thing i want to do. Although i didn't put the full business name.

I'll ring in morning to be sure of course just wanted to put my mind to ease before i try to sleep, bit worried :D

EDIT: there is a little tick box on the registration form to change it to a personal form... ffs.

I'm sure you've got an email with an order or reference number, just fire them an email and let them know, I can't see there being a problem.

there might be... They've well and truely mispriced one of their products and i ordered more than one if you know what i mean :D

so can see them using any excuse to get out of having to provide the item for the price they have it marked at.

ive bought stuff from alike suppliers. If they offer a 1 unit price then shouldn't be an issue unless they wanted vat numbers and stuff ??

They mention invoices etc with company account, re-created account under a personal user and re did the order.

lets hope they honour their price mistake :P

Registering a company and representing yourself as if you were a business can be a really good way to get certain items for much cheaper than retail costs.

You can select Personal rather than Business at checkout or when you create your account.

I did anyway.
