Origin - Update Thread

version 8.3.7

A new update for Origin, version 8.3.7, is now available and is required for Battlefield 3. This update contains several fixes and changes to Origin, which are detailed below:

-Fixes an issue that caused downloads to go past 100% completion.
-Users installing the Russian disk version of BF3 should no longer be improperly asked to insert disc 1.
-Fixes a number of issues that previously caused the Origin client to crash.
-Improves the performance of the Origin browser when loading flash-based applications.
-Addresses a number of minor localization and user experience issues.
-Adds the ability to download and install third-party games from Origin.
-Improves the performance of the game update functionality.
-Fixes an issue that made the installer change permissions on folders it did not create.

You still can't add previously bought EA games to the damn thing though.

i added BC2 that i bought from steam so its worth a shot but my BF2 key from steam wont work

Just tried adding Crysis, Crysis:Warhead and C&C3 keys (boxed retail versions) to it. No joy here.

My BF3 won't load since the latest update, I just press start and nothing happens, and when I try to load the game from my browser list it just keeps saying connecting and nothing happens

I added my copy of Red Alert 3...

Perhaps its only certain games?
