so i just downloaded origin to activate my bad company 2 retail copy as a digital download and when i entered it, it came up as digital deluxe edition even though it isn't. so i have just got badcompany 2 Vietnam for free win win

anyone else done this?

well it worked for me and i paid £12 for bc2 and i just virtually got upgraded to a £30 game

Worked for me too, but how do i download it now? It says 'no games detected for this account' in My games. Do i actually have to download the game before it's detected then?

someone should see if they are doing it with other games to.

shift2 is getting the dlc for free.

maybe i should dig out my old bf games and add them if i can

you need to click the cog icons towards the top right and select "refresh my games"

Just took my Steam CD Key for Bad Company 2 and plopped it in... that also worked. xD.

Restart Origin, should pop up.

anyone tried this with other games yet? i've activated bfbc2 and moh on origin now, i tried bf2 complete which i bought on steam but didn't work and none of the games from crysis maximum edition worked for me

Ok thanks, it's showing up in origin now, but when i try to start vietnam up, it's asking for a code. Tried entering code with and without the dashes, but it can't be verified.

Hmm, Vietnam does need a seperate cd key (well I got a seperate one when I bought it).

So maybe Origin is just mistaking the Deluxe Edition with the BC2 patch that included Vietnam.
