Original Enigma machine on Ebay....

laugh at me if you want, but whats the enigma in the liverpool Museum, at the Albert Dock....is there tonnes of these?

Every sub had one, there would be one for every unit of the army... then revisions when they upgraded.

And to the Collossus, I read a nice conspiracy theory that one is still running today doing calculations (and yes I know how mad that would seem)

Bizarre place for one of three in the World to end up, auction house would seem the best place, particularly as they are estimated to fetch £100,000 each......maybe this is the one stolen from Bletchley park in 2000?.........or maybe, just maybe, it ain't real!!

Then again maybe his other items for sale, like his Ford Ka, might just be real!! ;)

EUR 13,150.00 for that piece of junk I doubt it can even run Quake. :D
It will do by the time I've moded it with a P4 Mini ITX with a gig of ram. Would have to be the coolest mod of all time.

I guess this is just a sign of our times.
I agree this belongs in a museum or at some military cryptowarfare school's main entry hall.

What's next the next Dead Sea Scrolls on eBay?

Is nothing sacred anymore?

:(

The one nicked from Bletchley was one of only three...

It was one of only three high quality naval intelligence version with 4 rotors.

There's several of the 3 rotor Enigma's left - of which the ebay'd one is one.

Blimey, thats something you dont see every day!

Up to over 25000 euros now. If it is genuine then i believe it should be on show for the public, not in someones house, unless they take absolute care of it. Things like that should not be forgotten.
