Original memory no longer available

Hi,

I got my son a pc a few years ago from Oveclockers with 8GB of memory (Team Group Elite 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C16 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black) and now want to upgrade to 16GB.

That original memory is no longer available and overclockers recommended getting new 16GB rather than risk stability issues with non matching ram.

Is this the best advice? I tried searching for matching memory on Ebay but cannot find the exact model.

To be honest any 2400mhz ddr4 memory should work ok.
I'd just buy a couple of 2x4gb sticks of 2400mhz ddr4 & add them to your current setup.
Alternatively, buy 2x8gb sticks & sell your current ones to offset the cost.

Buy new RAM with matching timing specs. It'll be fine.
