**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

Got a hard-copy today. Getting this error message:

The installer was unable to read the file "fileset.base\Mods\Core.SC2Mod\Index.SC2Locale". This error may be caused by problems
with the media or drive at D:\--for example, a scratched or dirty CD-ROM/DVD-ROM, hard drive corruption, or a networking problem
while downloading the installer. (The error code was 5.) If this problem persists, please contact Blizzard Technical Support.
(ReadJob::Execute)

The game stops downloading at 1% and at file 21 (shows at the bottom left of the screen)

Anyone got any idea what the fa-dunk is going on?

There is a "Secret" 3digit number that I need to add you as a friend. (you can find it by hovering your mouse over your avatar in the multiplayer screen)

I'm ingame now but will check my MSN periodically
 
After whinging about paying £40 for a "third of a game" I went and did something stupid today.

Popped into GAME to check stock and they had one of these going spare...

But OMG this game is so awesome, I retract my previous comments. :D

Everytime shots of the CE are posted I want to order it!!!
 
tbh it's not bad value, if you say £40 for the main game, £10 for the old game, leaves £20 for the rest!

This is the reason DVD/CD installs suck balls. Its all about un-capped internet with 2mb/sec download rate
 
I'm too tired to play SC2. Watching all of the Day9 countdown party has made my reactions so low. I'm still up for some 2v2s though, they're always easy. :p
 
C'mon, someone out there must have a spare one of these free passes??? ;)

Take pity on us great unwashed and give us the 7 hours of bliss you are all experiencing!!!! :p

Anyone else getting the game crashing at Loading screen i think its trying to find my internet connection but cant. No idea why i turned off both windows firewall and my third party fire wall and it still cant see it.

:(
