I'm sure the installer tells you it requires 12GB - my SC2 folder is only 8.03GB though.

Loving it so far but playing it very slowly just so I don't rush through it inside a week.

It is a 7 hour trial. I think you can download the client without the key though.

So far I've gone through 5 or 6 missions, and the game seems interesting.

As with all RTS it just feels so small-scale though, and also very constricted. It's hard to play 'regular' RTS games again after having played supreme commander (and the butchery that was Supcom2).

It's nice to see an RTS with a well planned story though - a definite plus point.

Tried disabling Catalyst AI? i.e. running on one core.
