**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

About 40 banelings, 40 lings, 15 roaches and 8 Broodlords. After the battle he still had most of his lings, 10 roaches and all the broodlords. :D

Was this the steppes game?

The one on metalopolis was gold. He took the entire top of the map, and then mass spling / blinged the terran. The way he cut the terran off in that game was class too.

Terrans are so used to coming and going as they please it was nice to see them surrounded and cut off :)

Yeah the steppes one. The metal game was amazing too, the terran got rolled hard then also. But on the steppes one his army seemed to do even better. Even neural parasites on the thors. :p

Any High Level Zergs up for some practice? I've not played 1v1 for sometime and would love a chance to practice. Been playing team games with my brother and friends.

Hello Indie,

Yup shall add you tonight. I play Protoss.90% of the time at least.

Not a fan of the other races.. :) From the thread I take it u're a zerg player?

Can someone tell me how in the name of god can they build armys that fast.

i have been playing the computer at the minute to learn and get better before takeing on people but even on easy and normal they seem to be able to mass armys before you can and attack you before you can get your base defended never mind having enough army to go and attack them.

what is going on anyone any tips.

What race are you? You're building more than 1 unit producing structure right?

What do you mean get your base defended? You defend with the units you make, which you then use to attack whenever you find a good timing.

i wanted to know the same thing early on, so I would watch the replay then make a note of their build order and see how and when they do things.

Really helped me in understanding techniques employed to an efficient order.

I'm a relative noob in sc2 and i've only played single player and computer opponents so far and watched a shed-load of replays and casts. If there's any other new players who wants to play some 1v1 games and learn the basics faster add me (Ward 311).

I've watched a bit of GSL when i have the chance recently and they're great matches, but if i pay the $20 for the season would i get access to 720p or higher live casts or VoD's?
The quality atm is terrible if that's what you normally pay for.

Ok so i really dont understand how the points system works in the ladders.

I am currently ranked 66 in bronze with 46 points. I have won 47 and lost 50.

There seem to be a hell of a lot of players with worse win/loss ratios that are ahead of me! It says i have a bonus pool of 600 - what does this mean?

Can anyone explain what's going on?

Bonus pool is basically the system blizzard have put in that means you don't have to play every day and still stay up high in your ladder. You get bonus pool points every time you're not logged in. When you win a game, you'll get extra points by using up your bonus pool. If you win a normal game, you might get 10 points, but if you have a bonus pool you'll get 30 points for example.

OMFG if I have one more game where my "team" dont speak to each other and all just do their own thing and when asked what we should do say "win" I may stab myself in the eyeball with a thousand cocktail sticks!

The bonus pool doesn't work in diamond does it? I was rank 6 in diamond then took a holiday and got down to 75 and bonus pool points are not used when I win...oh wait maybe its the 9 losses in a row that got me that low on the ladder :P

Just one more day and one exam to go and I can have my first game of SC2 as an MCITP, yay. Missing it badly! Having to leave for a week at rank two and 30 points from rank one isn't great. Tempted to buy myself a decent laptop so I can play on the couch. How do you guys with laptops get on with SC on them?
