I just did my 5 placement matches for this season and i have not played since season 1, i won 4 and lost the last game and got placed in Plat :cool:

. Pretty funny as i was a bronze leaguer in season 1, but back then i had no clue what i was doing.

I thought you only did 1 placement match for each new season? I did 5 when I first started playing the game then 1 every new season.

Probably because you've missed the past 4 seasons.

this,if you miss a season you have to do 5 placements again as your MMR is pretty much no existant.

i downloaded the starter pack as i have no money and my laptop can barely run it so i dont see the point in properly investing yet

what does that started pack allow me to do in terms of playing against other people ? used to play a lot of broodwar online

You can play multiplayer ONLY in custom games. So you can't ladder. And you can only play Terran.

Build some units?

The easy computer doesn't really build more than ten units to attack with at any one time, the slightest army will deal with that.

If you're having trouble with the easy computer then I recommend doing some of the campaign and just playing more.

Try not to play sim city and build as many building as possible at the start, make sure you are constantly producing offensive units, well maybe unless you are zerg.

Go onto the team liquid wiki, if you're serious on improving then...

Read the wiki article on your Race's strategy
Pick a simple build order (the ones with ticks beside them are bronze proof)
Read the wiki articles on basic mechanics
???

maybe watch some pro's playing on youtube - that should give you an idea of how you wanna play in a couple of months

I think my problem was just building everything to see what it did

Had another go and made loads of marines, pwned the computer.

Is there any kind of OcUK clan kinda thing? Do people play together on mumble, etc.?
