yeah pretty much!.. mass basic!

its quite fun for a couple of games, and great if your with friends. but my main gripe with the new maps is that of the shared bases.
 
I want to play 2v2 3v3 and 4v4 but only with people who are at a higher level. Tbh I'd only want to play long enough to get into diamond then stop :p.

The air is crisp in diamond /joke :p.

Ill join a 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4 team with you. Give us a add Sadform - 219.
 
When i play team games its almost never MMM. Just played protoss for the first proper time in a 4v4 with mates. I tried to carrier rush, someone else got fast battlecruisers, another fast colossus and another not sure but it was fun and wrecked the other teams MM :D
 
Is it just me or is Steppes of war an absolute cheese magnet?

I stopped playing that map, then went back and basically its either 6pools or proxy zealots or whatever. Very annoying.

Love boxer! one of my favs too! I wasnt aware he still played though tbh, but then im not in touch with the scene anymore. Last i heard of him was he was doing his National Service. nice to know hes back

along with Yellow, one of my fav starcraft players ever!

he's just embarrassing ITR right now, i'm hoping for a 4-0.

that funky nydus build in game 3 was amazing, but at the same time i think ITR is kinda rubbish. I mean, the worm was NEXT TO his engineering bay, and he didn't spot it.
 
Stalker + Collossii combo is extremely strong.

Especially if they chuck some void rays on top of that.

An effective counter would be a fall-back position with maras and tanks, then use your vikings to snipe and kite the collossii. The maras and tanks will stop the stalkers jumping under your vikings.

It is very difficult to counter, and the protoss has to be a willing victim really.
 
Whats the best way to counter mass colossi?

Having three bases and a lot of stimmed marauders medivacs and vikings.

In my experience you can expand at least once by the time i get a colossus with range.

You can have two expos up by the time I hit a critical mass of colossi (> 3).

Generally if the protoss turtles, the Terrans should expand. As 1 base protoss with colossi will normally win against a 1 base terran, all other things being equal. (Unless the protoss gets sucked in and tries to push out with just gateway units against mmm).

Am getting a lot better at fast expos with decent cover, this morning for example (only bronze I know!), I was usually on my third expo by the time colossi attacked. And am getting better at macro kiting with vikings against colossi/void rays.

Even stimmed MM get wasted by a bunch of colossi (I know its a case of proper macro/unit composition).
