Should be back online myself in a few weeks after exams are done with if you fancy some games tometime :o..Need to get an OcUK tourney running as well now that i think about it..

Doubt it'll change that much tbh, sentry time and warp gate time will make korean 4 gates less of a massive pain, and the regular 4 gates less of a regular pain. :D Really loving the archon changes though. Probably wont be on the same scale as the roach range buff, but it'll definitely make archons more viable as a unit in general :).

Would be interested to hear how people get on with it..:D

Hmm its more of a balance thing than a Nerf, I've only recently come back to playing, done around 20-30 1v1's at high-mid diamond level. Every protoss i've played against has either 4 gated or fast expo'd with sentry. (which is a new tactic for me since it wasn't used when I was last playing.

haha OcUK tour would be kinda cool! the last one was great fun! I better get practising ;)

I want to try a build like Spanishiwa, but not sure if it will work in Silver, everybody I come across seem to try some form of cheese and my micro probably isn't good enough to hold it off :(

I do the spanishiwa build and it got me from silver to gold recently after winning about 9 games in a row. Just get a decent number of spine crawlers up, 2 early queens and another 2 to follow and youre fine.

I tried it in a few games yesterday and it worked well for the opening and pretty sure I had a big economy advantage over my opponent. I need more practice in what to build in late game now, protoss ball walked all over me, I beat a few terrans though.

For Protoss get Infestors and NP their Colossus, it has the same range as Thermal Lance so if they are being dumb and have their colossus balled up with their gateway units you can keep your infestors fairly safe, especially if you have roaches and get right up to them.

Even if they immediately go for your Infestors it gives you several seconds of not having to worry about a few or all of their colossus where your army can deal everything else.
 
I'm looking to practice more off ladder, anyone know if when you join a map in custom the system places you against someone roughly same level like ladder? Or is it totally random?
 
Been following the Spanishwa style of play 15h, 14p ,late gas/spine + queen def to get into mid game pretty much every game i play.

I just watched my last 5 (won 3 lost 2)games and im so super super defensive !

My last game i won after like 38mins.. but at about 28min mark i was on liek 150 food my opponent on like 30 lol!

I need to learn to finish off games, most of my pushes happen at 200/200 food

The games i lose are when im massive droning like hitting 70 drones then fall very easily to a big push and just have queen/spine def :D

Broodlords with max energy queens healing them is pretty OP haha

Yeah... That game where Naniwa blink stalker pushed was epic... Some amazing blink micro there :p The series also highlights just how amazing ghosts are - I can't believe so many terrans still don't use them.

vileSpanshwa (pronounced Spanishiwa) is something else!

I got thrashed by somebody using his sort of strategy last week (it could have been you LOL)

I saw one game where he had 12 Broodlords (getting transfused by Queens) with 3/3 broodlings levelling a top Terran. And another where he had 2 Nydus Networks, with worms all over the place and he was attacking 2 bases simultaneously, he had about 12 Ultralisks popping out of each of them.

Even Idra is impressed with him, only 17 years old too.

I've also started taking his strategies onboard.
 
Extra;

in another game I saw, he had about 8 Brood Lords attacking, and when the Terran sent 6 Vikings at them, he unburrowed his Infestors, mind controlled all 6 vikings, landed them, and let his Brood Lords make quick work of them! Unreal tactics.

I watched all the VODs this morning, in fact I've watched pretty much all the top16 TSL3 matches and there were some great matches but the finals were awesome.

I can't really say much more without spoiling the result, so I'll leave it at that!
 
wow just played a game where a guy seemed to be all over me with burrowed roaches and kept sniping my collosus so I switched to double chronod robo immortal production with stalkers from gateways... Eventually he sniped my main nexus due to some careless observer placement and I managed to take out some of his roaches... Thinking I'm way behind, I just go for the kill with maybe 12 immortals and 12 stalkers and a few zealots against maybe 60 roaches... and WIN... Easily with still 1/2 my army left :o Immortals seriously are amazing against roaches... I definitely need to use them more against Roaching zergs
